April 5, 2023

Fundraiser supports the fight against child abuse and bullying

CINCINNATI — The Council on Child Abuse (COCA) invites the community to attend annual fundraiser Reach for the Stars on April 28 at the Kenwood Country Club. The event will commemorate National Child Abuse Prevention Month and support COCA’s mission to prevent and stop child abuse and bullying where children live, learn and play.

Tickets include a plated dinner, two drinks and a special performance from label•less, a musical production written and directed by Lea and Drew Lachey, co-founders of Lachey Arts. There will be an opportunity to participate in a raffle and an online auction leading up to the event. Space is limited so RSVP at cocachild.org/events by April 21 to secure your spot.

This year COCA is honoring Lincoln Heights Elementary for their continued dedication to creating safe spaces for students. In the 2021-2022 school year, COCA served over 19,000 children and youth in Ohio and Northern Kentucky through their School-based Personal Safety Program. The program delivers curriculum around child abuse and bullying prevention education for grades pre-k through eight.

COCA appreciates the support of Diamond Sponsor the William R. Dally Foundation and Platinum Sponsors EnterTRAINment Junction and Ohio National Financial Services. The organization also thanks many more sponsors, donors and board members for their invaluable contributions to COCA’s mission.
