Join COCA's Annual Fundraiser Reach for the Stars
Fundraiser supports the fight against child abuse and bullying
CINCINNATI — The Council on Child Abuse (COCA) invites the community to attend its annual fundraiser Reach for the Stars on April 26 at the Kenwood Country Club. The event emceed by WLWT’s Sheree Paolello, will honor National Child Abuse Prevention Month and support COCA’s mission to prevent and stop child abuse and bullying where children live, learn and play.
Tickets include a plated dinner, two drinks, and a donation to Council on Child Abuse. There will be an opportunity to participate in a raffle and an online auction leading up to the event. Please RSVP at cocachild.org/events/ by April 19 to secure your spot, as space is limited.
This year COCA is honoring Deniz Ozbudak and Horizon Science Academy for their continued dedication to creating a safe space for students. Throughout the 2022-2023 academic year, COCA's School-Based Personal Safety Program positively impacted over 12,000 children and youth across Ohio. The program delivers a curriculum centered on child abuse and bullying prevention education for students from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade. COCA has implemented a new safe dating program for high school students, focusing on healthy relationship traits, safe dating strategies, and consent.
