Fundraiser supports the fight against child abuse and bullying

CINCINNATI — The Council on Child Abuse (COCA) is proud to announce that its annual Reach for the Stars fundraiser raised over $79,000 to further its mission of preventing child abuse and bullying.

Held at the Kenwood Country Club and emceed by WLWT’s Sheree Paolello, the event brought together over 120 guests for an evening featuring dinner, drinks, auction, and a raffle.

COCA honored Don and Gayle Oeters for their longstanding commitment to creating safe and supportive environments for students. Fourth-grade student Scarlett also shared what she has learned about staying safe, including the importance of speaking with trusted adults when faced with an unsafe situation.

COCA extends its sincere appreciation to Celestial Sponsor William R. Dally Foundation and Galaxy Sponsor Don and Gayle Oeters, along with the many additional sponsors, donors, and board members whose generosity made the event a success and continues to strengthen COCA’s mission.
