COCA’s Reach for the Stars Fundraiser Raises Funds for Child Abuse Prevention
CINCINNATI — The Council on Child Abuse (COCA) invites the community to Reach for the Stars, its annual fundraiser, on Friday, April 24 at Kenwood Country Club. Emceed by WLWT’s Sheree Paolello, the event will recognize National Child Abuse Prevention Month and raise funds to support COCA’s mission of preventing and stopping child abuse and bullying where children live, learn, and play.
Guests will enjoy a plated dinner, two drinks, and opportunities to participate in a raffle and online auction. Tickets are available now, and space is limited. RSVP by April 17 at cocachild.org/events to reserve your seat.
This year, COCA will honor Don and Gayle Oeters of Entertrainment Junction for their ongoing commitment to creating safe and supportive environments for youth.
During the 2024–2025 school year, COCA’s School-Based Personal Safety Program reached nearly 24,000 students across Ohio, providing child abuse and bullying prevention education to students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. COCA has also implemented a Safe Dating Program for junior high and high school students, focusing on healthy relationship traits, safe dating strategies, and consent.
COCA extends its gratitude to Celestial Sponsor The William R. Dally Foundation and Galaxy Sponsor Don and Gayle Oeters. The organization also acknowledges the generous support of numerous sponsors, donors, and board members whose contributions help advance COCA’s mission.
