American Humane Association
(AHA) Conducts research and develops materials to help national public and private agencies respond to child maltreatment. Better Baby Sitters The purpose of Better Baby Sitters is to educate students entering 5th, 6th, and 7th grade about the skills necessary when baby-sitting and staying home alone. Courses are offered in the Greater Cincinnati area. Many important topics are covered including hands-on practice : Diapering, Bottle Feeding, Infant Care, Discussion of Growth & Development, & Creative Age Appropriate Activities. Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) Provides training, technical assistance and
consultation to child welfare professionals and agencies and
educates the public about issues related to child abuse.
Childhelp USA Provides 24 hour crisis assistance nationwide.
National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome Provides information, resources, and the
opportunity to purchase materials related to Shaken Baby Syndrome.
National Children's Advocacy Center (NCAC) Provides prevention, intervention and treatment
services to physically and sexually abused children and their
families.
National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and
Neglect Information The Clearinghouse is a national resource for
professionals and others seeking information on child abuse and

National Indian Child Welfare Association
(NICWA) Only Native American organization focused
specifically on child abuse and neglect issues with Tribal capacity
to prevent and respond to the problem.
Prevent Child Abuse America Organization has a nationwide network of state
chapters and local affiliates to provide direct service programs and
effective strategies to preventing all forms of child abuse.
